SOURDOUGH FOCACCIA RECIPE

If you’ve ever pulled a warm, golden loaf of homemade bread from the oven, you know there’s nothing quite like it, and focaccia might just be the most satisfying of them all. I still remember the first time I made sourdough focaccia at home: the dough was soft and sticky, I was nervous about the long rise, but when it came out of the oven it was all crisp edges, airy crumb, olive oil still glistening. I was hooked!

Focaccia is a fantastic bread for home bakers of all levels. It’s forgiving, flexible, and doesn’t require any fancy shaping skills. Plus, it’s endlessly customizable, toss on rosemary, tomatoes, garlic, or flaky salt, and make it your own. In these recipe I use cherry tomatoes and rosemary but these are classical toppings and I have a rosemary plant in my garden but It is really as you like it. You can even use focaccia bread as a base to make pizza.

One of my favorite tips? Use a generous amount of olive oil and let the dough proof in a well-oiled pan to get that signature golden crust and delicate crunch on the bottom. Whether you’re new to sourdough or just looking for a delicious, low-stress bake, focaccia is the perfect place to start.

All you need is 5 ingredients, some patience and magic happens!
